For Sundays, December 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd, the children/youth classes will be practicing during the Sunday school time for their Christmas program to be held on Sunday evening, December 22nd.
CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM - Next Sunday, December 22, at 6:30 pm the children and youth of the congregation will be presenting the Christmas Gospel to us through word and song under the them “His Name Shall Be Called …” from Isaiah 9:6-7. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.
BIBLE STUDY - During the Sunday School hour (9:30-10:15 am) we are taking a look at various topics related to Scripture and our life in Christ. We’ll be studying a new topic each week so if you have something you’d like to look at, please let Pastor Slater know and we’ll get it on the schedule.
- We are currently looking at the book of Acts.
SPECIAL SERVICES - The following Special Services will be offered over the next several weeks. These are all Wednesdays unless otherwise indicated.

CHRISTMAS FOOD VOUCHERS - The Canton-Galva Ministerial Alliance is giving $100 food vouchers to those needing some extra help this month in buying groceries. The vouchers can be used at the Canton Lockers, Tin Roof Pantry (Galva), and Dales Supermarket (Hillsboro). If you or someone you know would benefit from this extra help, please see Pastor Slater.
PRIVATE CONFESSION & ABSOLUTION - Pastor Slater will be available in his office, for any individuals who would like to have private Confession and Absolution in preparation for receiving Holy Communion, from 9:00am to Noon, each Saturday prior to the Sundays in which the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated. This is of course voluntary and not required for receiving Communion. Just an opportunity to further prepare your heart and mind for anyone who might so desire. See the November Calendar and Notes for more on this. Any questions, please let Pastor know.

BOARD of MISSIONS COLLECTION - For the month of December we are collecting non-perishable food items for the McPherson Food Bank. Donated items can be placed in the cart located by the church office. Thanks!
GREETERS NEEDED - We are in need of a couple of more individuals, couples, or even families who would be willing to serve as greeters on Sunday mornings (about once every other month). If you are able to help, please let Pastor Slater know.

+ For Judy Thomas, Jeff Biehler, Fred Renken, Richard Andrus, Ladonna Westbrook, Pete Hubbard (Julee Slater’s father), and Krista Clites (sister of Jamie Kohl), Ashley Jowers, and Robert Colburn who face health issues.
+ For those who battle addictions and/or are incarcerated, that they may know the peace and hope that only Jesus can give.
+ Our civic leaders and law enforcement and military personnel.
+ Peace in the Ukraine and the Middle East.
